All over Me by Director: Alex Sichel Starring: Alison Folland, Tara Subkoff		Our Critique Review: All Over Me is about Claude (Folland) a shy, overweight teen who works in a pizza parlor after school and is secretly in love with her best friend Ellen (Subkoff). But Ellen is far ahead of Claude in development. She has an older boyfriend, and she harbors a bad case of destructive self-loathing that erupts frequently and with a fury. **** stars

Better Than Chocolate by Director: Anne Wheeler Studio: Vidmark/Trimark Format: Color, Closed-captioned, Widescreen		Our Critique Review: Many lesbian movies are long on charm and short on production values; Better Than Chocolate has a solid dose of both and steamy sex scenes to boot. Our heroine Maggie (Karyn Dwyer), a clerk at a lesbian bookstore, meets footloose butch Kim (Christina Cox) and, after Kim's van is towed away, they move in together. **** stars

Henry (Arye Gross) is an artist living in New York but still carrying a torch for the guy he had a crush on in high school. When his grandfather has a stroke, Henry returns to his Montana hometown, Big Eden, where he rediscovers friends he hasn't seen in years ****1/2 stars

Bound by Director: Larry Wachowski, Andy Wachowski Starring: Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon Studio: Republic Studios Format: Color, Closed-captioned, Widescreen		Our Critique Review: Destined for cult status, this provocative thriller offers a grab bag of genres (gangster movie, comedy, sexy romance, crime caper) and tops it all off with steamy passion between lesbian ex-con Corky (Gina Gershon) and a not-so-ditzy gun moll named Violet (Jennifer Tilly), who meets Corky and immediately tires of her mobster boyfriend (Joe Pantoliano). ****1/2 stars

Chutney Popcorn by Director: Nisha Ganatra Starring: Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles Studio: Wolfe Video Format: Color, NTSC		Our Critique Review: Chutney Popcorn takes up where quirky lesbian-themed comedy Go Fish left off. The twist? Reena (director Nisha Ganatra) is of Indian descent, but her girlfriend, Lisa (Law & Order's Jill Hennessy), is not. This isn't a problem in and of itself. Reena's mother, however, views her daughter's sexual orientation as a "disability" and describes Lisa as Reena's "college roommate." ****1/2 stars

Everything Relative by Director: Sharon Pollack Studio: Wolfe Video Format: Color, Special Edition, NTSC		Our Critique Review: For all of the lesbian genre films there are (or actually aren't) out there, it is refreshing to watch a movie that has a complete collection of talent. While the plot was loosely written, the characters (and the portrayals of the characters) and their interaction as a syudy of lesbian lives - was interesting, enjoyable and worth sharing. ****1/2 stars

Gia by Director: Michael Cristofer Starring: Angelina Jolie Studio: Hbo Studios Format: Color, Closed-captioned		Our Critique Review: There's a reason why Cindy Crawford was dubbed "Baby Gia" when she first hit the modeling scene. Indeed, Crawford, now the world's best-known supermodel, greatly resembled model Gia Carangi, who went from high school to the cover of British Vogue in less than two years. ****1/2 stars

Brodie Studio: Mgm/Ua Studios Format: Color, Closed-captioned, NTSC		Our Critique Review: Go Fish won acclaim in its initial release in 1994, probably because of its irreverence in gazing at the lives of a group of young lesbians in Chicago. ****1/2 stars
